On a quiet Mexican island of Isla Mujeres, only 13 km from one of the most popular Mexican resorts of Cancun, is a very unusual building - House-shell (Conch Shell House). The interior of the house-shells fully corresponds to the outer shell. The
interior in maritime style is striking in its naturalness - as in the
nature of sharp angles practically do not exist, the central space of
the building is circular in shape and blends in with the other rooms. The house has a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a toilet. Sinks in the bathrooms are made of pressed coral dust and mixers are huge sea shells and corals. On
the second floor of the structure is a spiral staircase, and in the
cozy courtyard is a large pool surrounded by tropical plants and coconut
trees. Fences and tracks are also made of the main local building material, which makes the Mexican coast.
